To Challenge or not?

I really, really love writing this blog but I can't seem to force myself to just write with no topic in mind. Too many thoughts and no focus to just pick one. I may just interject a personal blog as needed on occasion with shorter challenges - or just steal a topic from one of them and write about that! And on that note...found this one that I think might be short and sweet. I found another one that would have covered all of February but too late to start that one now, so I may save it for a rainy day next year :)

So without further adieu...10 things I wanted to be when I grew up....

1. Astronaut ~ Since I live in shuttle land, it was very easy to imagine going into outer space. Then I discovered how much I disliked science, which kinda threw that option out the window.

2. Writer ~ Because everyone wants to write the Great American Novel.

3. Teacher ~ I loved school, and thought that would be the best job ever. Love all of my educator friends but very happy I am not one!

4. Psychologist ~ Then I took Psych 101 in college and my professor was insane.

5. Singer ~ I actually can sing, but you need to get me drunk to hear it (or be my son and force me to sing to you every night before bed). Stage fright kept me from this dream. My twin friends' little sister and I used to practice singing together and I would serenade my friends in the ice cream shop I worked in throughout school, but I would always make them go in another part of the shop so they wouldn't look at me while I was doing it!

6. Marketing Genius ~ So maybe that isn't a career, but when I was in high school and beginning college, my intended major was marketing. Although I was more interested in the trending aspects, and trying to pinpoint what people wanted before they knew it. I love my business education background but I found I didn't have the right personality to be an aggressive marketing expert.

7. Professional shopper ~ This is a no brainer considering how much of a shopaholic I am.

8. Doctor ~ but I grew out of this one quickly.

9. Mediator ~ I still may push for this one day, but I would need to go to law school and become an attorney first. Mediators make some money...

10. Legal Assistant ~ Which I do! I love the law so it was pretty easy to find a career in it. Thanks to that previously mentioned stage fright, I don't think I could have been an attorney. Standing up in court would terrify me. Although, I am a great arguer....(is that even a word?). I like being in the background and making it all flow the way it's supposed to go, so I am happy doing what I do.

  1. Problem I always have with my blog because its not about anything in particular.

Think I might "borrow" this idea! ;)
