Day 10 - Someone you don't talk to as much as you'd like

Dear siblings who have moved away,

I miss you guys. I wish we kept in better touch, but I guess I should be grateful we all have Facebook accounts to keep in touch.

I kind of said a lot of what I wanted to in an earlier posting, but I do wish we would talk more often.

I've seen a few posts online where people are complaining about the New Year Resolution people who go to the gym for a week and then quit and how they're looking forward to getting their gym back.   This pisses me off.  I'm not skinny.  I've never been skinny.  But a few years ago I did make an effort to become a healthier woman.  I lost some weight and I've mostly maintained that loss.  But I haven't been great at the maintenance.  So I look at the new year as a chance to start over.  Wash it away and say, this year I'm going to try harder.  This might mean that I finally decided to use my gym membership that comes with my health insurance plan.  But if you look at me with derision, like I'm taking up your valuable space at "your" gym, then yeah, I'm probably not going to be inclined to come back after a week or so.  So maybe instead of being a smug a-hole about "your" gym, you should try and encourage that person who resolved ...

Day 30 - Me today, and my 3 favorite blogs from this project.

So here I am today...and it's been an incredible month long journey into the mind and life of Krista. (And yes, it's a cell phone picture from my bathroom - but that was the quickest way to get me today.) My favorite blog of this challenge, though it breaks my heart, is the letter. There's so much I left out because how could I possibly capture all of the amazing stories about my grandfather? He was always more of a father to me than my own dad, and every day I am reminded again of how much I've already lost. I can't bear the thought of him being gone, although I know in reality, he's already left us. Number 2 on the list is the one about the person with the biggest impact on me. My son is my world, and writing about him comes easily. Again, there is so much I've left out because there isn't a way possible for me to write exactly how much he means to me - words for that have never been invented. This is a one off because I love the movie Labyrinth and I have found some adorable Labyrinth themed things that I want to place them all in one spot.  Yes, I have a Pinterest but one of these items (the cake) will not allow me to pin it properly, so at least I know I will always be able to find this picture when I beg someone to make it for my future wedding day! (Oh so irritated.  I'm not a tech person so I can not figure out why it won't let me post pictures and why it's only letting me link.  I promise I'm attempting to link the pictures back to the original source!) Oh I want this cake. Actually, everything on her site was adorable.  I'm overusing this word.  But adorable is my word of the day.  I blame Aisha Tyler because she uses it all the time on her podcast.
